This is what I wore to work today, I thought the dress looked quite cute made into a paperbag waist skirt. Excuse the mess in my room. I have no nice white wall to take outfit photos in front of, so this will have to do!

Today was a funny day at work, I went upto the Art Departments end of year exhibition, it was fantastic. I was impressed by the amount of work some of the students had put in. I then watched the fashion show. This just blew me away, I could not believe the amazingness of some of the collections, beautiful textures and styles. And some great shoes! Loved it, I'm hoping I might be able to get hold of some photos so I can post them on here.

Feeling slightly inspired by both the fashion show and by Bee at Vivatramp's Live Fast Die Fun feature I have decided I'm going to learn how to do 'fashion' by this I mean starting at the basics, putting a sketch book together, learning to draw and design. If that goes well I may attempt to sew! I've just ordered myself a couple of fashion design books of Amazon, used ones (saving the environment and all that!!) for bargain amounts (less than £10 for both books) and I'm going to pop to town on my lunch break sometime and get myself some supplies and see what happens. I used to dance a lot but after my experience at uni I have stopped so I need a hobby really. It may be something I document on this blog, or it may not. We'll have to see what happens!

 

Happy June...

I cannot believe how quickly this year is going. I've decided to make some mid year resolutions and use this blog as an attempt to keep them...

- grow my nails again (on going battle...)
- tone up to get a good bikini body before France (in 8 weeks time)
- take more photos
- save save save for that little house I want!!
- learn to cook something other than enchiladas and risotto
- finish my NVQ (by October)

I may add more..

So this week has been quiet at work, I'm currently multitasking by cooking coca cola cupcakes for my boyfriend whilst updating this blog and checking my emails.

I'm off next week though, I can't wait, my first proper break since I started... I'm off to Center Parcs with Mum, Dad, Sam (boyfriend), Ben (brother) and Bryony (brothers girlfriend). We've got some good stuff booked.. Salsa, Family Quiz, Sam's doing Falconry and Laser Quest.. OUTDOORS.. which is basically paintballing with no pain. So expect a picture heavy post when I get back.

I've been playing around on ASOS fashion finder recently. I enjoy putting the outfits together and wishing I could afford them. I'm off shopping tomorrow so I will post some pics of the goodies I buy.

Hello there.

I have decided I need to actually use this blog a bit more. So hello!!

It is the Easter Holidays at work so I have very little to do, hence the blogging! I don't really have any photos to post as nothing particularly interesting is happening at the moment so this will probably look like quite a boring post! However some slightly exciting things are happening over the next few weeks!

Today I'm meeting with the other apprentices at work and we are going to an all you can eat Chinese buffet for lunch. nom nom nom. I'll probably eat so much that I won't fit back in my chair when I'm back at work! It's paid for by work because it's technically a meeting, but yay free lunch! I'm looking forward to egg fried rice topped with sweet and sour sauce and some chippies!!

Next Friday it's my friends 18th birthday party, just a house party but I expect it will be good fun. Then on Saturday the boy and I are going to Bournemouth for a nice long bank holiday weekend. We're just staying in a little premire inn and going on a few nice day trips. We're going to go to the Oceanarium and on the little boat to Brownsea Island. I expect we'll spend some time on the beach too.

I will take lots of pictures :)

I'm not sure about everyone else but I am pretty excited about the Royal Wedding. I'm not into the royal family and I'm not very patriotic - I wish I was - but  I still think it's going to be so good. And also, it's another bank holiday!

Sorry!!

Sorry about my really rubbish posting last week. My parents were stuck in Gran Canaria both really ill, so I was trying to sort out everything here! Anyway everythings ok now.

Sam and I had a really good valentines day, I made Mexican!!

We had Nachos to start, then Enchiladas and then Chocolate Eclairs for pudding. It was so yum. After dinner we watched 'the worst place in the world to be gay' which was presented by Scott Mills, who we are HUUUGE fans of. It was really interesting but quite upsetting.

On Friday we went out for our 7 month anniversary/late valentines dinner at Giraffe. After that we went to Lloyds and won £5 playing the colour of money on a games machine!

At the weekend it was Sams uncles birthday so the children were round and we had great fun playing and dancing with them. And eating lots of Chinese food!!

I will try to post more this week, this is just a quick one before work!!!

Sorry, it's been so long but I have been very very busy with work and things. I've been working hard, and my parents are away so Sam's been living with me, well he does most the time anyway. I've been cooking and I should probably do some cleaning or washing...

The other day we put little Beau in the bath so I could clean out her cage. She was pretty interested in my camera..

She's a funny little thing. Just look at that little red nose. I think I've given her a cold though. Poor Beau.

I went to Sams cousins birthday party at the weekend. It was so sweet. She was 4 and had a bouncy castle and lots of sweeties.

Today pretty much my whole outfit was new.

I cut off my face because I looked a mess and my hair was greasey.

I was upset this morning, because I got up and got ready, picked up my bag and the handle snapped off. It was my lovely lovely black handbag. I've already sewed it back together once. So now I'm on the hunt for a new one.

I'm looking for something for my skin. It's reallt dry at the moment, but I'm not really sure what. Anything anyone can recomend? It would be great to know.

Today at work, some of my team and I went and had a fry up for breakfast, change of scene from the office. I had a veggie sausage, fried egg, 2 hash browns and baked beans. It was yummy!

When I got home I cleaned out my little Beaus cage, she had a lovely run around the bath. She kept running up the end and sliding back down again! It was so funny. Yesterday I made her a new tunnel out of a couple of loo roll tubes and put a hamster muffin in it. She woke up ran down, put her head in the tunnel and took the muffin out. She took the muffin upstairs, came back down and chewed up my tunnel. Nice one Beau!!!
